The Sunday School Day and Parade
|
We are thrilled to once again have our annual Sunday School Day and Parade! God willing, this will take place Saturday, 21 May 2022 at the exciting new location of Gloucester, England.
In previous generations, Sunday Schools across the country would march through their town or city behind their special Sunday School banner every year. For each Sunday School, it was a time to thank God for the privilege of coming together weekly to learn about the Lord Jesus Christ from God’s Word. We are grateful to continue this special act with Sunday Schools from around the nation, showing to the generations to come the praises of the Lord (Psalm 78:4). Preparations are well underway for this year's event and we would love for as many Sunday Schools and Bible Clubs to join us as possible. If your Sunday School or Bible Club plans to attend, please sign up as soon are you're able using the booking form below. There are many ways you can get involved in this special event; please take the time to read of the different opportunities mentioned on the rest of this page We do plan on doing packed picnic lunches again, as in years past. If this is your first year, each church brings a picnic lunch for its children and workers. Hot drinks will be provided for the adults and water for the sports competitors. In traditional style, each Sunday School lifts a banner representing their individual locations. If your Sunday School does not have a banner, please feel free to bring something of the sort to represent your individual Sunday School. |
Register your Sunday School or Bible Club for the FREE Sunday School Day and Parade by completing the form above.
HOW YOUR SUNDAY SCHOOL CAN GET INVOLVED:
This year's Children's Presentation focuses on being a bright Gospel witness for the Lord in our generation. The children will sing the chorus 'Jesus Bids Us Shine'. Please click the link below to download song boards for your Sunday School to practise.
Our Bible Memory Challenge passage this year will be Matthew 5.13-16. There will be a station during the Sports Competition designated for any young people who would like to try to recite the entirety of the passage. All children who visit the station and successfully say these four verses will be awarded and recognised during the Sports Competition Awards Ceremony. Please click the link below to download a PDF of the chosen passage to give to your Sunday School children.
